Hi all, I have a couple of 12V 7Ah gel cell batteries. They've been sitting for probably about 3 years. Any thoughts on if they'd still be good? I need to power a 12V 4A load for about 20 minutes at a time. I'm considering using these and not a different technology because: a) I already have them, and this is a favour for someone, so the cost is my= own. b) I can order a charger for them from Digikey for fairly cheap (http://www.digikey.ca/product-detail/en/BA500120500003NK/271-2382-ND/12451= 12) If these were new, it'd be a slam dunk. Since they're not, I am not sure if they will work or not. I know I could try charging them carefully with a bench PSU, but I'd like to avoid that if possible. I'm just looking for the probability that they'll work at all for my intended application. I should note that I only plan on using one of the units at a time, not a parallel setup. Thanks!
