This is a great idea - I would only add that probably a smart phone is even better, of has the camera as well can send the email (no need to copy the photo onto the computer and such, just snap the pic and tap on send) Btw: A real CAD software has many advantages, especially when you need to make changes on the drawings, but of course these has some learning curves before it pays off.
