> "In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. > In practice, there is. .... I have to admit frustration with some of the schoolkids I mentor. But I doubt I was much different at their age Even after much discussion about what's in the datasheet, how to best to lay out a circuit, write some test code etc, they seem reluctant to commit something to a breadboard for fear of failure. Understandable When they finally do, often after much cajoling, and it fails only a little bit, nobody needed medical attention, nothing blew up, the power grid wasn't taken out, the sun continues to rise, Mum and Dad still love them .... Instant gratification isn't always instant satisfaction.
