Understand, but the GPS is hand held, we use for hiking, driving, it has=20 find an address, topographic, and much more on a color display. It has 2=20 AA batteries for portable use, but they last a few hours with the=20 display on which for driving isn't convenient. We have 2 vehicles, and=20 this would mean installing a separate plug with power supply in both,=20 plus that would limit us to those vehicles or battery life. :( The info=20 out there is, DO NOT supply 5 volts to the unit.
