Just thinking out of the box - plasma, laser enhanced 'guided Plasma'?
I understand commercial Laser Cutters similar to plasma cutters use
compressed air to blow the evaporated material out of the whole!

Anybody knows the Russian (now Chinese) Multiplaz Water torch? It has
been compared to a laser! So there is water to conduct the arc, and
air to remove erroded materials!

I hear the are developing plasma drills for geothermal energy
exploration! Any thoughts?
