That's one reason that Bob tends to come down 'rather hard' on such things.
Some topics have a habit of sliding off into semi-politics and lead to
other topics being tacked on and a rowdy party can develop quite quickly.
Sometimes it may take many dozens of useful posts before this happens, and
sometimes just a few. Bob tends to want to forestall the inevitable early
on and I try to gently steer things away from the abyss and hope that some
value will arise from the prolonged exchange.
Neither method is perfect.
