My snubbers at the relay coils are as close to the coils as I can get.=20
The vendor's solenoids have no snubbers, about 10" wire, screw terminal=20
(where I tie the relays with 16" wire), and an inch PCB trace to the=20
chip. The UNL2803 "A" is supposed to have snubbers. I would prefer if=20
there were current limiting resistors at the chip.
