Thanks all for your help. Using two 555's makes sense to me. (Though I'll = have it going on the Raspberry far quicker than it would take me to wire th= at up.)=20 I had a feeling that the 555 wouldn't do what I thought. I got that becaus= e when doing the timing calculations it seemed that I needed parts with val= ues that I just didn't have. But just a feeling. That's why I asked. I'm curious now, how did you know that what I wanted was beyond the 555?
