I recall reading that when Coke was about $1/can in the US from a vending machine the delivered cost into a machine was typically about 17 cents. FWIW I seem to be caffeine immune apart from one annoying aspect. There's apparently a response continuum with some being much more affected than others. *I seem to be able to ingest any amount of caffeine without it acting as a "pick me up" or anti-soporific or similar. * I could eg drink 10 cups of strong coffee and, apart from the diuretic effects, go to bed, drop off to sleep promptly and sleep soundly. Alas however, I suffer massive withdrawal headaches if I consume caffeine and then stop. And much more than just headaches if I "come down" from a high enough caffeine level. My boundary level seems to be very low and the effects much higher than for most people. If I soak my system in caffeine and then stop consuming it I fall off the edge about 2 to 3 days later - withdrawal symptoms sound like as good an any hangover I've heard of. Death seems attractive. I try not to let that sort of withdrawal happen. Not consuming any at all seems to be an obvious option but my boundary level is so low that misc products in day to day life seem to provide enough to produce annoyance headaches constantly. Add a little formal caffeine and I stay above the required level and all is well. 60 Cokes (in cans =3D 22.5 litres) consumed at once would probably kill one from water poisoning, assuming you could excrete the fluid fast enough to make room for more in your system. regards Russell McMahon --=20 http://www.piclist.com/techref/piclist PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist .
