Horrendously dangerous [tm] voltages of somewhat over 100 VDC are
permissible as "ELV " / "Extra low voltage" under current standards in some
cases. Extensive learned discussion is provided by the standards
authorities in justifying this surprising (and questionable) development.
One measure is "ripple free DC" and the definition thereof allows a
surprising amount of ripple.
