I've seen the same things happen with paperweights and ornaments/vases. One of my friends actually had a pile of paperwork start smouldering on a=20 sunny day. Subject: [OT] Unintended Consequences sun powered sculpting I felt compelled to share what happened this week......... In the interests of recycling everything , I used the front lens of a=20 projection TV to winterize a window. The lens is a flat piece of plastic about 3mm thick. I guess it is a=20 fresnel lens. I cut it to fit the window and installed it as an additional transparent=20 layer. I thought nothing of it until today when I happen to look at the stereo=20 receiver sitting near the window. The top of the receiver and two of the knobs were partially melted. So now I am removing the plastic. https://plus.google.com/u/0/photos/106062573647649373210/albums/59462090762= 34785857 Gus in Denver --=20 http://www.piclist.com/techref/piclist PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist=20 --=20 http://www.piclist.com/techref/piclist PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist .
