Have to agree on hall effect, but I don't think it's practical at this=20
point. The only power available in the area is 12 VDC. The PLC is 30' of=20
cable (multiple CAT-5 and 18 ga. pairs) distant, and all it's analog=20
inputs are being used. The PLC does everything digital at 12 VDC also.
