Matt,

Are there any other 18F's with a Vbat pin that come in a smaller =20
package -- 28-pins are ideal, but 44 is workable.  100 pins will be =20
tough to fit on the board.

Also, the PIC selector tool did not allow me to chose RTC as an =20
option.  Is there some way to search for these?
