How about back to back Zener diodes ? They will clamp over a certain=20 voltage. I've used zeners in the past when I've needed to fast switch relays but=20 never tried it with a latching relay. Subject: [EE] back EMF suppressor for single coil latching relay Normally with a relay, you would simply put a diode across the coils to snu= b=20 the EMF. With a single coil latching relay, where you swap the polarity to=20 latch/unlatch thats not going to work very well. I've done a bit of searching and have yet to see an example of how to snub= =20 something like this, so asking the list if anyone has an idea? --=20 http://www.piclist.com/techref/piclist PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist=20 --=20 http://www.piclist.com/techref/piclist PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist .
