G'day Luis, I can't identify the devices, but I can say from experience of my team at OLPC that the battery pack vendors are very keen to include their own pack protection circuit, mainly for their own protection. The device designer has less say. If I had the circuit in front of me, I would look for: - cell balancing sense lines to the supervisor, - low side MOSFETs driven by the supervisor, maybe even two in series, - passives to support the supervisor, maybe even a charge pump so that one of the MOSFETs can be driven backwards, For a bike light without a fuel gauge I would not expect to find a state of charge accumulator or corresponding communication line to the host. You might never find the chips without consulting datasheets closer to the vendor's language. ;-) --=20 James Cameron http://quozl.linux.org.au/ --=20 http://www.piclist.com/techref/piclist PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist .
