It's not terrible, but I think the profoundness could be retained while removing most of the 'eye candy' (of sorts) and cutting to the chase. What the writer is "selling" sounds good, but a careful look suggest to me that he (too) has a closed mind in at least some areas. ie there may be questions he deems pointless or close enough to pointless as to not be worth asking.
