Gives me an idea...

Use 2 4-port A-B-C-D switches.

Use Ports A and C

To go from A to C:

Switch 1 from A to B
Switch 2 from A to C
Switch 1 from B to C

Covers the make before break requirement and disconnects all of A before
connecting any of C.
