I think you mean the 1802, which is sometimes described as having 16=20
byte of RAM and 64k byte I/O pins (because the the 16 internal registers=20
could be used quite easily, in  contrast with the extreme hassle of=20
adressing externally attached RAM).

The SC/MP had 4 or 8 regsiters, depending on whether you see them as 16=20
or 8 bit registers.
