Hoping the list collective wisdom can help.... I need a linear displacement generator with displacements of in the order o= f 0.2-1mm or so at frequencies of up to ~1KHz or more if possible. I'm hopi= ng to input a sine wave of varying amplitude and frequency and have linear = motion (vibration) of the unit in response to the input signal. I'd rather = not build, but am also open to suggestions in that regard. The required com= bination of velocity and displacement amplitude in such a mechanical system= may be tricky. Anyone have any ideas? Systems similar to those used in vib= rating sample magnetometers might work, those are normally run at much lowe= r frequencies though.
