Update: I measured 75W unloaded before the cut, and ~80W unloaded after
cutting, inserting huge copper secondary, and clamping shut in a bench
vise. Tightening vise to increase clamping force shows decreasing
unloaded power draw. Of course, need to measure loaded efficiency with
varying clamping force. So far it looks okay, might be worth welding it
where the original weld was.
