>I might not be the only one interested in reforming old HT caps. >=20 > Is the article accessible? I have a couple of magazine articles on it. The one I was mostly aware of uses an MC34063 and a low voltage input. http://www.siliconchip.com.au/Issue/2010/August Quite an involved project which also has a PIC + LCD for other functions. The front end is a 12V to HT converter, by way of an MC34063 and small bobbin transformer, with switchable resistors to set output voltage. A project similar to their insulation tester The one I came across yesterday, a much simpler construction, requires HT input for HT output. Basically a practical implementation of the datasheet guidelines http://home.clear.net.nz/pages/joecolquitt/lr8n3.gif Joe --=20 http://www.piclist.com/techref/piclist PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist .
