Class 1 Bluetooth has 100 meters range as the bird flies with omni antenna and about half that far through a few walls and things. With a good antenna on the fixed side pointing in the right direction (or hemisphere or pie slice), you can be pretty sure it will work at 50 meters through lots of th= ings. (note: plain red brick and tile, if thick enough (old walls and roofs), kills all Wifi, GPS and Bluetooth - it's about the best absorber out there, especially when humid - red brick is red due to iron oxide content) -- Peter --=20 http://www.piclist.com/techref/piclist PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist .
