I've soldered with no problems (so far) - use really agressive flux, the one made for soldering copper pipes, and overheated iron, and solder a wire as quickly as possible. Then dump in a solvent to clean and cool. I know it's not the proper way, but it works fine with small cells like CR2032 at least.
