Now this may be a rather obvious question, but its coming from someone usin=
g a 'feature' phone (LG Octane).  Do you need to have an Android phone on a=
 carrier network in order to use the wifi?  Ie...is the phone locked out fr=
om being used at all unless you have a contract with someone?
