IMO, it's a VERY good "science fair project", even if it's not likely to be=
 a great flashlight.
It's a shame that the press can't tell the difference; I don't know that I'=
ve ever seen a press account of a science fair project that didn't over-hyp=
e the project (then again, that applies to "real" science announcements as =
well.)
