I'm not sure that this is true.  I find myself using EAGLE for any number o=
f quick drawing tasks.  Given a simplified library, it ought not be all tha=
t complicated.  My experiences with more generic drawing programs has been =
that they are just as much trouble, lack a bunch of features that I like in=
 a real CAD program (like wires that stay connected even when you move the =
components they are attached to, or "real" dimensions), are less portable, =
have fewer relevant print options, and of course don't transition at all to=
 "real" circuits.

That said; does anyone have a generic sketching library for EAGLE?
