Can't you use "Unknown Sources" settings on Motorola phones? That should
allow you to download any apps from any websites -- however, that leaves
you without any protection against downloading a malicious app on your
phone.

BTW I would create a new Google Account or Apple ID if you really concern
not to mix that with your existing one (I am sure there is an option for
that).
