I'm pretty happy with my Fujitsu fi 6130. It can bundled with
Acrobat for a bit more. Doesn't use up much desk space. OCR is a little
slow on an i7, but it scans really, really fast (both sides in one
pass). I think it was about $900 +/- a few years ago from NCIX,
but the newer model is reportedly a bit more finicky and no longer
bundled with Acrobat Standard.
