Start with the tip of the wire. Work your way up slowly with a slight amount of flux. If you need to simply remove the insulation, DichloroMethane (CH2CL2) (Methylene Chloride), helps to soften the insulation. Using a pair of tweezers on the length of the copper wire to pull out the insulation will help, once the insulation has softened out. You might get mechanical strippers, but I doubt whether it would work properly for that thin copper wire you have.
