In 2000, the US government were instructed by Bill Clinton to
discontinue the use of SA (Selective Availability).=20
To make sure this decision could not be countermanded, it was stated
that the next generation of GPS satellites; GPS III (and I assume these
are now in service), would not be able to use SA.
