Hello, as a possible alternative for five MLCC 0603 10uF 6.3v caps in foresee of the next PCB respin, I am seeking for a capacitor type that: # is damn cheap and easy to source. # is extremely reliable, even under strong mechanical vibrations. # will not give problems when covered by epoxy resin. # is possibily not too big, space-wise. # needs to have the above qualities at 10uF values and >=3D6.3V the following electrical characteristics are NOT too important, as the caps will be used for filtering but not on a critical time-constant, just to rem= ove some noise. So I can trade these qualities: Temperature coefficient can be bad. Tolerance can be high. It won't be used at temperatures higher than 60C or lower than -20C. Ceramic, tantalum (god forbid!), electrolitic, polystyrene (10uF? I doubt)? What do You suggest? :) Thanks! Mario PS: this time no duplicates.. woohoo! :D --=20 http://www.piclist.com/techref/piclist PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist .
