I have a lot of steppers and other mechanical parts collected over the years, have a lot of ideas what to do wit them, but actually seems like nothing will ever be built. You can play with MCU's or plain electronics just about everywhere you can put a laptop, but mechanical stuff requires much more time, workshop environment, or at least dedicated space. So it's not just a problem for kids. BTW, some of steppers I have are quite special. Their axles have internal M5 threads, so they can actually run on a stationary leadscrew, could be very useful for a small cnc. No way to eliminate backlash, though. Originally those were tuning resonant chambers in NOKIA 900MHz GSM base station modules. Actually moving a copper plate in an aluminium box. > > Otherwise, well it's just more motors for me then > > Joe -- KPL --=20 http://www.piclist.com/techref/piclist PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist .
