Here's an unusual application.

This guy is a ham radio operator and he uses the Futaba S3003 RC Servo
(a variant of stepper motors)
to remotely tune his his antenna.  He's currently using a 555, but is
about to switch to an Arduino Uno
for better control.  Others are using PICs and several different other
brands as well, but I don't have=20
at hand any URLs to supply.
