Safety Issue!!! Plaster is not a good choice for the mold. You cannot get enough water=20 out of it to keep it from exploding when the hot Aluminum hits it.=20 However, a ceramic mold just might work. I have never tried anything=20 that small that small. BTW, a furnace for melting aluminum can be fashioned out of a pile of=20 bricks and an electric stove element. Form the element into an open=20 spiral. Iron tools work well for the other metal tools. Keep away from=20 anything galvanized, the fumes are deadly. There are lots of old aluminum cookware around for cheap. With the small=20 amounts you are considering even foil from the grocery store might be=20 practical.
