It's too expensive, and the only thing it gives you over the T4i is live previews of the "effects", which frankly you'll probably never use anyways, and "better" live view focusing during video which frankly you'll also probably never use (manual focus during video is the way to go IMHO for a DSLR). I've got the T4i. Consider that one instead. If you want to save a little, consider the T3i. It's has EXACTLY THE SAME image quality of the T4i, T5i, 7D, 60D and SL1. What's most important is the glass. I haven't tried the new 18-55mm STM lens, so I can't comment on it. I would recommend getting a kit with the 18-135mm STM. It is a fantastic kit lens. It's sharpness actually rivals alot of other glass: http://www.the-digital-picture.com/Reviews/ISO-12233-Sample-Crops.aspx?Lens= =3D809&Camera=3D736&Sample=3D0&FLI=3D3&API=3D1&LensComp=3D398&CameraComp=3D= 474&SampleComp=3D0&FLIComp=3D4&APIComp=3D0 It's my go to lens when I don't need my f2.8 lens. It's completely silent when focusing, is VERY fast, and is built very well (nothing rattles or is loose).
