As much as it pains me to say it, I've had really good luck with powered an=
tennas from Radio Shack.
The one above lets me pull in all the Minneapolis stations more than 60 mil=
es from the tower.

The problem is how the amplifier board is attached to the antenna elements =
inside.
Its done with stranded wire but there is a lot of flexing between the front=
 and back covers which
leads to a broken wire where soldered to the board.
I was thinking a replacing the stranded wire with something with many more =
strands like solder braid.
Think this will work?
