This is my 3rd day of scanning the web for an answer to a question.

There is a leak on a 1996 Ford Explorer AWD V6 Automatic transmission.
There are two donut sized protrusions on the passenger side of the the tran=
smission.
The one most forward is jetting fluid.
What are these protrusions for ?
