Sounds like this is getting close to hydrology, a branch of civil=20 engineering, and meteorology (weather) that deals with evaporation=20 rates from lakes and other bodies of water. Might look those directions.=20 Pick the brain of the local TV weather person, geological survey, or=20 even US Army Corps of Engineers (They deal with big dams, floods, etc.).
