Hi Bob: Modern military GPS receivers are jam resistant (proof?). It's my understa= nding that we have jammers that can be turned=20 on in active war zones which will totally shut down a civilian L1 type rece= iver and not effect a military GPS that's=20 keyed. The jammers are periodically tested in various parts of the world. http://www.prc68.com/I/DAGR.shtml There are a number of satellite based navigation/timing systems in addition= to GPS including Iridium, the Chinese=20 Compass, Russian GLONASS, etc. LORAN-C has been shut down in the U.S. but still is operating in other coun= tries. The Low & High Frequency Time stations I expect to keep ticking no mater wh= at since they don't have a military function.
