That's almost exactly the procedure I use too, except I use the mylar stencils. Can I churn out hundreds of perfect boards an hour? No way, but I do think it's faster than hand soldering. On one device that I built many of, I machined out a negative of the board with all the components in a block of plastic. Once I did the reflow, I could pop in all the connectors (there were a lot on this guy), put the negative on top, and invert the entire assembly. Then the solder side was in the air for me to solder, and the negative held the components in place!
