Still a WIP but some devices can be turned into a SDR scanner radio using the cheap RTL2832 based DVB-T dongles http://dangerousprototypes.com/2013/03/31/sdr-touch-android-app-for-rtl-sdr= / I want to read PDF Books, magazines, datasheets, and saved webpages. There is choice of 7", 7.7", 8.9" & 10.1" with other screen sizes as well. Curren= t standard resolution is 1280x800. Those of you who have tried the different sizes - obviously the 7" will have highest quality, but I can't guage the comfort at reading pdf files at 7" compared to 10" on the same resolution. Any comments? Do you find yourself zooming and panning (esp magazines with = 3 column layout), how does it compare between these sizes?=20 I have tried 5+ PDF readers, and each one has its quirks and varying performance. Adobe Reader is not very configurable and fits to screen on each page - you then get to fit to comfort each time you change the page. S= o far the best I found is EbookDroid - it renders images, text and vector graphics faster than my PC can. But I can't remember finding a slider to jump pages. Which Adobe reader does well, but sometimes renders pages as blanks when I jump far ahead. --=20 http://www.piclist.com/techref/piclist PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist .
