I use mine primarily as a reader with the Kindle App. I have all my back issues of EPE and N&V in PDF format as well as Datasheets. The Kindle App actually handles them better than the PDF Viewer from Adobe. I also have my library of Kindle books. ES File Explorer to manage books and Video, which is the second category I use it for a lot, watching movies or listening to music whilst traveling. I use the Beta version of VLC for movies and simfy (I have a subscription) for music. Utility wise the EloctroDroid app that others have mentioned, RealCalc is my primary Calculator, WiFi Analyzer has been invaluable setting up networks for Clients and TeamViewer for remote access to Clients, or my own, Servers whilst traveling. Skype comes in useful at the same time. GPS and maps are invaluable when trying to find a new clients premixes or for going on site visits. I rarely play games on it but do have Chess and Backgammon loaded, both allow 2 player games on the one device as well as a computer opponent. I also have several music apps, Pianist HD and Real Piano being my current favorites. DaTuner is great for Tuning Instruments or testing audio oscillators. Slick USB 2 Serial Terminal is great as a console for field debugging prototypes and on the subject of USB, I created a USB OTG adapter that allows me to use an external mouse and keyboard in conjunction with Google Drive Doc's so that I can work on my Specification Documents and Spreadsheets when I don't have access to a PC. I have a lot more on it, but those are the primary functions and applications that I have on my Nexus 7. I wanted one for reading PDF, now that I have one I don't know how I ever got along without it. Hope that helps, Cheers Chris On 5 April 2013 20:28, Walter Banks wrote: > > > Bob Axtell wrote: > > > What do you guys use your Android Tablet for besides playing games= ? > > My wife bought me one, and I can read my notes from the office PC, BUT.= ... > > One of our local suppliers had android computers about the size of a larg= e > thumb drive that plugged into any HDMI port on a television.
