One of our local suppliers had android computers about the size of a large thumb drive that plugged into any HDMI port on a television. It had a micro sd slot and a couple USB slots and WiFi. Gotta have one those and a wireless keyboard / trackball. It is running Ice Cream Sandwich. I did a build of some of our tools over the Christmas break to see what was involved in using this as a small development environment. It works but isn't wonderful. The biggest thing I found was it was much slower than expected. This seems to be caused for a couple reasons. Multi-tasking is essentially absent mass storage buffering and caching is not anywhere as well implemented as windows and other operating systems. The same code running on a ASUS Android Tablet was marginally better. Android seems to have come a long way in the last couple years and certainly works well for net searches and entertainment. As a development system still has a way to go. We have no immediate plans to market tools that run on Android but it is something we will revisit every few months.
