Different usage pattern and different expectations may make that reasonable life quite different. I am using a Motorola Atrix 2 Android phone (upgraded to Android 4.0 from the original 2.3), I turned off data, WiFi, 3G and Bluetooth, still the phone only has about 2.5 days of idle time, quite bad in my opinion. But I seldom use my phone other than occasional phone and SMS. I did play with the phone at home a bit using WiFi initially to know more about Android, but now with my Acer Iconia Tab A210 tablet, I do not need to use it for that purpose. I would like to have 3 days or more in my usage pattern. On the other hand, heavy users will turn on data and 3G, and charge their phone every day and they seem to be happy with that. BTW, iOS seems to have better power management than Android. I need to explicitly turn on the airplane mode on my WiFi only Acer A210 tablet to save power whereas I just turn off (with smart cover) my iPad 2 and iPad Mini to achieve similar (or less) power loss during idle. --=20 Xiaofan --=20 http://www.piclist.com/techref/piclist PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist .
