Fortunately the redback is not well-established, and certainly not
invading human space like Aussie spiders do. Any big spider of
the house variety can give you a nip. The only other venomous
one of note is the katipo, also related to the widows, but it's not a
common spider. There's still ongoing debate about the white-tailed
(another import)
