I use Canon MP760 & some related printer only versions. Photo quality is reasonable. No chipping - and you can (or could) get continuous inking systems for them= .. You can access and clean (wash out) the ink sink with very substantial disassembly effort. I've done this twice on two different models of printers and it was an annoying process in each case. If you don't mind the Heath Robinson approach and know where to look you can often hack a suitably sized hole in the printer bottom and add an emptiable reservoir.
