At the risk of making you feel older....I've always had trouble telling the difference between 0805 and 0603 components if they are not side by side. 0402 is the kind that gives me trouble. I'm 33 so my decline in eyesight will not be long in coming, and my eyesight was never great (it is good enough to pass the driver's eye exam without glasses so I've resisted getting them). I usually use magnification for all surface mount soldering. I get much better results that way.
