De-soldering braid or maybe some braid from coax seems like a better idea than mesh because the strands run in generally the right direction. I had pondered the idea of etching the inside of the copper pipe. Or a strong enough tool to just cut the grooves mechanically. Mesh somehow seemed easier, but I haven't tried to roll up mesh into a=20 10mm tube yet Trevor > On 2013-02-23 5:36 AM, Trevor Hancock wrote: >> I chose acetone because it is easy to buy and works in the temperature >> range I was interested in. >> >> It works surprisingly well for a bit of copper pipe and a couple of ml >> of acetone. >> In my first attempt I am using gravity to return the fluid, I'm still >> trying to find >> some fine wire mesh locally. > That's a good suggestion.
