Aluminium can be leached by acids. For instance it's advised that
certain foods should not be be cooked in aluminium saucepans
because of the link suggested between aluminium exposure and
Alzheimers

I'm sure you've seen coins cleaned by Coke. Apparently it's very
good at removing lime scale in bathrooms too

Stainless steel would be OK. Thermal expansion coefficients of
SS and Al are reasonably similar so you might be able to bond
a SS face to an Al heatsink
