Hi! well I buy the max1480bcpi in qty 100, for usually $12-ish. But=20 still. Spendy. The ROE-0505S is a great tip. At $2.72/qty 100 @ mouser it is hard to=20 justify a roll your own solution. And having 5V on the isolated side=20 (vs. 4.something meaning 3.3V LDO required) makes for cheaper rs485=20 chips as well, since there is a curiously large, like $1 or more,=20 premium for 3.3V rs485 vs. 5V rs485 transceivers, at least 2 years ago=20 this was the case. So that fact makes the ROE-0505S be even more=20 compelling. Thank you.
